Vintage Brooch Gilded Brass and Glass

Offered is a very old vintage costume jewelry brooch that appears to be of gilded brass and glass. The pin features a large rectangular bezel set glass facet the color of a pale citrine stone in the center. There are also round facets decorating each end.  Amber in color, and seemingly original, one of these appears to be of a darker shade than the other.  The openwork frame has an intricately detailed surface.

The clasp is quite unusual, and is made from two sections joined by prongs that form a C catch closure. The jewelry piece measures approximately 1 1/4″ x 7/8″ across the widest points. It is in very good condition with no damage found.
