Antique Sterling Thimble Simons Sz 10 c 1889

Offered is an antique sterling Simons thimble in a size 10.  It has a decoative paneled band that alternates is width. The narrow section on either side of the wider flat pieces are decorated with hand chased designs. The sterling silver sewing tool has a patent date of May 23.89 and has the Simons Brothers Company in the interior. The study thimble is still in round, and has no pierced holes.
