Antique Art Nouveau Brooch Sagittate Leaf

Offered is a most peculiar antique Art Nouveau brooch. It has a triangular shaped frame with rounded corners. The interior of same contains a simple yet elegant arrangement of stems and leaves. The leaves have a hammered texture and are of the elongated sagittate arrowhead shape popular in Art Nouveau motifs.

This measures 2 1/4″ x 1 1/2″ across the widest points. This has a simple C clasp and a looped needle that acts like a spring to keep it in place. This unmarked piece appears to be made of brass, but a simple cleaning with a jeweler’s cloth has it shining like gold. The jewelry is in excellent condition with no damage found.
