Classic Vintage Sterling Mexico Brooch AEM

Offered is an elegant classic vintage sterling Mexico brooch.  The center of the swirled frame features a round green stone in a decorative bezel.  The brooch measures 2 1/8″ wide by 1 1/2″ as measured across the largest points.  It is about 1/2 ” thick to the top of the cabochon in the center.  It is marked sterling, Mexico, and with a maker’s hallmark and Eagle 23 stamp.  The initials in the circular mark are stylized A and E.  A respected reference in the field of Mexican jewelry suggests it is AEM, or  “AE inside a heart shaped M”.  The pin has no condition issues.  Total weight:  13.2 grams
