Large Vintage Sterling Pendant and Necklace Chain Mexico Signed

Offered is a large vintage sterling pendant and necklace chain.  The pendant is of a modernist design with crushed  stone mosaic inlay. It has two dangle elements that sway inside the gently curved frame.  This portion measures 4 1/4 ” long and is 2 1/4″ as measured across the widest point.  This is marked on the reverse side as shown with an Eagle 3 stamp, 925, MR, and sterling.  The maker’s initials have been attributed to Melesio Rodriguez, who worked for a number of other Mexican designers and shops.

The chain is of individually soldered oblong links.  It is 30″ long with a simple hook clasp that would allow the chain to be worn shorter if desired. Each link is a bit more than 1/8″ wide.   This chain  is unmarked, but tested to be silver as well. This unusual jewelry piece has no condition issues.  Total weight:  41.5 grams
