Mexico Sterling Chatelaine Brooch Double Malachite Parrot Pins

Offered is a charming vintage Mexico sterling chatelaine brooch.  Sometimes called a doublet brooch, this features two parrots joined by a fine silver chain.  The tallest bird measures about 1 5/8″ tall, while the baby is 1 1/8, Both have textured silver body parts and hand carved malachite stone bodies.  Tallest parrot is marked on the back of the tail.  It is not clear, but the metal components were tested to confirm silver content.  A classic design popular in older jewelry from Mexico, the brooch has no condition issues.
