Vintage Sterling Sweater Guard Cactus Design Mexico Hallmarks

Offered is a delightful vintage sterling sweater guard.  With an abstract cactus design, each end piece is approximately 1 1/4″ tall and wide as measured across the widest points. The connecting chain is 6″. The gently curves surfaces are decorated with incised patterns and topped with half ball accents.  Each piece has the circular hallmark and eagle 23 stamp as shown.  These have very strong gator type clips, that make it difficult to capture the hallmarks.  They appear to be the referenced AE inside a heart shaped M.  A popular fashion accessory in the 1940s and 1950s, the substantial jewelry has no condition issues.  Total weight:  16.9 grams
