Victorian Revival Locket Necklace Very Unusual Costume Jewelry

Offered for sale is a most peculiar Victorian revival locket necklace.  The large locket measures 1 3/4″ in diameter, and 3/8″ thick.  Decorated with a detailed enamel design on the cover, the interior is deep enough to hold small objects as well as photos.  With a threaded barrel clasp, the necklace has a wearable length of 22 3/4″. The portion of chains and elements supporting the locket has a 5 1/2″ drop.  The looped metal links each are covered in the center by ribbed tubes. In gold colored metal, the rather strange vintage jewelry piece has no condition issues.
