Antique Glass Bowl Pink Ruffled Basket Insert

Offered is a very dramatic antique glass bowl. It measures approximately 11 1/2″ in diameter across the widest point of the rim, and stands 4″ high to the tallest point on the crimped and ruffled edge.  The color ranges from white at the bottom to a deep pink at the top with a clear crested edge.  Unlike more contemporary thick opaque milk glass, this has a delicate translucent opaline quality with a pontil mark on the footed portion.  The pattern includes a beaded swag with large raised hobnails.

Used as a fruit bowl or insert for an antique bride’s basket, this art glass piece is without damage.
