Antique Metal Cat Measuring Tape Wind Up Tail Victorian Sewing Tool Missing Foot

Offered is a Victorian era figural sewing tape measure in the form of a metal cat. The tail operates the mechanism that re-winds the cloth tape back into the belly of the animal. It is made of heavy metal and measures 2 1/4″ from the tip of the tail to the nose. It is 1 1/4″ high.

Please note that this is not in perfect condition. Though the winding mechanism works, the tape is missing the ring that stops the tape at the end. This one DOES HAVE the original functioning tail, but is missing a foot as shown.
