Antique Sterling Enamel Sash Pin Brooch Hemming Mfg Co. c1900

Offered is a captivating antique sterling enamel sash pin.  The large brooch features colorful fall leaves and tiny pod like flowers.  This has an organic Art Nouveau design on an undulating gilded frame.  It measures 2 7/8″ x 1 7/8″ across the widest points of the oval shape.  It is marked on the reverse side sterling and with the trademark of The Hemming Mfg. Co. (Hemming Bros. Co. Ltd.).   The Canadian firm was listed as being in business from about 1896 to 1915. This has a C clasp closure and a heavy sturdy needle. There are some scratches on the back as illustrated, but the front appears pristine.  Total weight: 20.3 grams
