Art Deco Frankart Parrot Metal Figurine

Offered is a delightful Art Deco Frankart parrot figurine.  The metal casting measures 6 1/4″ high, and was designed by the sculptor Arthur von Frankenberg (1898-1992). This design was also used on various bases and products produced by the designer’s  New York company Frankart, Inc. in the 1920s and 1930s.   With the intention of making decorative art objects affordable for a wide variety of people, this statue is make of spelter. the bird is painted gold, and is not bronze or brass as often advertised.  Weighing about one pound, it is strong and sturdy with no dents or dings. There is some expected wear to the paint as shown.
