Arts & Crafts Pottery Vase Brush McCoy Prairie Green

Offered is a pottery vase from the Arts & Crafts era.  This art pottery piece is unsigned but attributed to a Brush McCoy series offered in the 1920s. Old factory reprints by Hull pottery also feature an almost identical item.  This measures 5″ high, and 6″ side as measured across the ear like tab handles.  The drip glaze is a mottled Prairie green combined with purple gray accent colors.  The clay body is a light colored stoneware type substance.

There is an uneven glaze application on the underside consistent with the manufacturing method.  A piece of glazed over clay on the bottom that appears to be a slice of a ring bottom foot from another piece .  There are no cracks, chips, or age crazing on this true Craftsman style work.
