Capri Costume Jewelry Brooch Pink Glass c1950s

Offered is a lovely Capri costume jewelry brooch.  It is composed of  teardrop shaped clear pink faceted glass and a large round multifaceted rhinestone.  The frame is of textured gold colored metal.  This is marked on the reverse side as shown with the hallmark of Capri Jewelry, Inc. The New York City firm was active from 1949 – 1977.  This mark was used prior to 1955.

The pin measures approximately 2 1/2″ x 1 1/2″. For reference, the round facet is 1/2″ in diameter. This is a strong sturdy well crafted mid century piece that has no condition issues.
