Eve Kaplin Mechanical Kinetic Mid Century Brooch

Offered is a delightful funky Eve Kaplin mechanical knetic brooch. The jewelry pin by this artist designer (1957 – 1985) features a bright red lobster and turquoise fish dangles, The pin measures 3″ x 2″. It has a variety of metal textures and bright lively colors as typical of the Memphis – Milano movement of the late 1970s early 1980s. Her work is displayed in the Cooper Hewitt Museum as well as the Smithsonian.

This was purchased years ago in a shop in Key Largo, Florida as new and worn only twice. What appear to be tiny scuff marks on the paint are original to the piece. There is some oxidation present now on the pin back as shown.  The wearable moving art piece is otherwise in the original condition.
