Hogan-Bolas Modernist Bronze Brooch Mid Century

Offered is a delightful vintage Hogan-Bolas bronze brooch.  With a mid century modern boomerang motif, this measures approximately 1 1/2″ x 1 1/4″ across the widest points. The back layer of this handcrafted jewelry piece is purposely darkened, and the top layer and applied ball are of a shiny gold color.  The hallmark on the back side was used by Robert Hogan and Deborah Bolas in their Providence, Rhode Island studio where they worked primarily in copper and jeweler’s bronze metals.  There are some scratches on the back side of the pin as shown.  Since the metal is solid, they could be removed if desired.
