Sterling Pendant Brooch Levi Pitcher Israel

Offered is a large vintage sterling pendant brooch.  Of a modernist style, it features a stylized ewer or pitcher against a heavily textured background. This is a symbol of the Jewish faith that refers to the Levites’ traditional duty, during Biblical times, of washing the hands of the Temple Cohen prior to a religious service. The jewelry piece measures 2 1/4″ x 1 3/8″ across the widest points.  It is marked on the reverse side Hand Made, Jerusalem, Israel, Sterling Silver as illustrated.
