Sterling Silver Powder Compact Elgin American Hand Chased

Offered is a lovely vintage powder compact by Elgin American. It is of sterling silver and has a clear framed mirror on the interior cover. The outside of the case has a satin finish with a hand chased flower, leaf, and branch design.  This has an interior cover over the powder compartment on the inside. Marked as shown, this measures 2 5/8″ square and almost 3/8″ thick. The mechanical components work correctly. There are no dents or dings, but some light surface scratches consistent with age and use on the outside. Offered as described and shown this weighs 126.7 grams.
