Unger Brothers Sterling Brooch Bar Pin Arts & Crafts c1876-1916

Offered is a lovely antique Unger sterling brooch.  Though most famous for their silver products in the more elaborate Art Nouveau style, this bar pin is more reflective of the Arts & Crafts movement.  The Newark, New Jersey firm was founded in 1872, and began jewelry production in 1878.  By 1914, they ceased producing silver items.

With a C clasp this solid sterling jewelry piece measures 3″ across, and 3/8″ wide at the slightly domed center point.  It is hallmarked on the reverse side as illustrated. There is a slight bend to the rather thick needle as shown that does not compromise function or use.  There are no other condition issues.  Total weight:  8.6 grams
