Vintage Sterling Butterfly Brooch Abalone Wings

Offered is an older vintage sterling butterfly brooch with prong set abalone shell wings.The insect has a textured cast body and segmented tail. The cast frame is strong and sturdy. Though similar in style with silver jewelry from Mexico, this marked simply sterling on the reverse side as shown. The charming  piece measures approximately 1″ x 1″ and has no condition issues.
