Vintage Sterling Marcasite Bar Pin Brooch w/ Safety Chain

Presented is a charming vintage sterling marcasite bar pin.  The brooch is of thick solid silver, and has a chain with tiny decorative safety pin attached to prevent loss. This measures 2″ x 3/8″ across the widest points. It is stamped on the reverse side SIL (for silver). a rather old designation practice.  The item has been tested to indeed confirm metal content. The jewelry has no condition issues. Total weight:  6.4 grams
