Offered is a charming vintage Wells shell cameo that can be used as a pendant or a brooch. Unlike the more common carved cameos that feature a woman’s profile portrait, this one depicts a peaceful water scene with sailboats. It is made from tiger shell, and the artist has made excellent use of the various colors and features of the raw material. This measures 1 3/8″ x 1 1/8″, and approximately 3/8″ thick at the center.
The jewelry is of gold filled metal, with the 12K content mark and the maker’s trademark on the reverse side as shown. The hallmark is that of Wells, Inc., in business from 1922 – 1967. With a classic style, this jewelry piece has no condition issues.
Offered is a stunning signed Van Dell 14K gold-filled cameo pendant. This can also be used as a brooch and is made in the traditional carved shell fashion. The pin is oval in shape and measures 1 1/2″ x 1 1/4″ across the widest points of the decorative frame. It is marked Van Dell and 14K GF on the inside of the bezel as shown. The jewelry has no condition issues.

Offered is a rather unusual vintage carved MOP shell cameo. Unlike the more common varieties, this has been created using a different type of shell. The iridescent mother of pearl background provides a rather soothing contrast with the carved profile. It is set in a sterling frame, and has a C clasp closure. The sharp needle extends a bit beyond the mount. This measures 1 5/8″ x 1 1/4″ across the widest points of the oval shape. This truly unique jewelry piece has no condition issues.
Offered is a rather large dramatic vintage black glass cameo brooch. The lady is facing left and is finely detailed. The cameo has a shiny surface that resembles hematite. The frame is of gold colored metal and is unmarked. With retro modern design, the jewelry pin measures 1 3/4″ long and is approximately 1 1/4″ across the widest point. The strong sturdy costume jewelry piece is in very good condition with no damage to report.
